The houseboat:
The living room has a beautiful view of the Amstel River from every room. You don’t have to worry about your privacy. Almost all the windows have privacy glass so you can’t see in from the water.
The living area with open kitchen is wonderfully bright and you have the possibility of creating a second bedroom/guest room or work/study here.

The kitchen has quite a bit of storage space and several built-in appliances including; a 4-burner gas hob, oven and a refrigerator with freezer and microwave. Currently a washer/dryer is located in the kitchen, but it can also be placed in the basement sink so you have room for the dishwasher.
In the basement tub (three compartments), in addition to connections for a (separate) washer and dryer, you have enormous storage space, e.g. for a wine cellar.

On the left side of the ark is the bedroom with en suite bathroom that has a sink, recessed lighting and a shower with tub (jacuzzi). After a busy day, enjoy relaxing baths looking out over the water and the setting sun because privacy glass here too.

On the entrance terrace you can enjoy the morning sun with a cup of tea or coffee,
The ends have floating gardens (breeding ground for waterfowl)
And the terraces on the Amstel River have plenty of room for sunbathing, lounging, lighting the BBQ, dangling in the hammock and enjoying the sunset and taking a refreshing dip in the Amstel on summer evenings……the feeling of freedom!!!
You can also sail your boat from the terrace up the canals into the cozy downtown, or go the other way, the rural route for the ultimate outdoor feeling!

The setting:
This is a great location to live, surrounded by greenery and parks. You can take the bike bridge to park Somerlust, where you can enjoy fun jazz nights, tea in the garden, delicious brunches and dinners at T’ Huis aan de Amstel. Going a little further, you’ll find L’Osteria, a great Italian restaurant with a spacious terrace where you can enjoy the most delicious pizzas, or you can choose to grab a bite or drink at George’s on the little harbor.
Going in the other direction, you can walk through the beautiful Green Tail with its rowing clubs and allotments. Follow the banks of the Amstel River and you can walk all the way past the farms to Ouderkerk, or you can cross the next bridge to the Amstel Park.
When you cross the Utrechtsebrug over the Amstel River, you enter the beloved Rivierenbuurt. There you will find cozy stores, several supermarkets, coffee bars, restaurants, cafes and flower stalls. There is a wide range of options including the Martin Luther Kingpark where the annual Parade takes place and don’t forget to visit the Mirandabad, where you can swim both indoors and outdoors. Moreover, there are several gyms nearby. With the new bridge on the Joan Muyskenweg you are also close to Gamma, Karwei, Ranzijn and other stores for all your do-it-yourself needs and the Amstel station and metro are nearby as is the ring road.
